Food Waste to Compost Project

 

මෙම ව්‍යාපෘතියේ අරමුණ ආහාර අපතයෙන් පොහොර නිර්මාණය කර වගාවට භාවිතා කිරීමයි. පාසල් සිසුන්ට Circular Economy concept practical ලෙස ඉගෙනගත හැකි ක්‍රමයක් වේ.

1️⃣ අවශ්‍ය ද්‍රව්‍ය

·         Vegetable peels, fruit scraps, leftover rice, bread (no cooked oil or meat)

·         Compost bin / large plastic container with lid or corner of school garden

·         Dry leaves, shredded paper, sawdust

·         Small garden fork / stick

·         Gloves

2️⃣ Food Waste එක එකතු කිරීම

·         සිසුන්ට පාසල් කෑම කාමරයේ හෝ නිවසේ ආහාර අපතය එකතු කරන්න කියන්න

·         අවශ්‍ය නියම: Meat, cooked oil, dairy avoid කරන්න

3️⃣ Compost Bin සකස් කිරීම

·         Bin එකේ පහළ කොටසට small stones හෝ broken bricks තබා drainage එක සලස්වන්න

·         පසුව dry leaves හෝ shredded paper layer එකක් තබන්න

4️⃣ Food Waste & Carbon Layer එක දමන්න

·         Green layer (food waste) + Brown layer (dry leaves, shredded paper) alternate කර දමන්න

·         Stick / garden fork එකෙන් thoroughly mix කරන්න

5️⃣ Moisture & Aeration

·         Slightly moist කරන්න, overly wet නොවීමට පුරුදු වන්න

·         Bin එක cover කර compost aerate කිරීමට 2–3 දිනකට mix කරන්න

6️⃣ Decomposition & Ready Compost

·         4–8 weeks තුළ, material dark brown, earthy smell සහිත ready-to-use compost බවට පත්වේ

·         School garden, plant pots, vegetable beds සඳහා භාවිතා කරන්න

7️⃣ Final Application

·         Garden soil mix කර plants / flowers fertilize කරන්න

·         Studentsට Circular Economy, waste reduction, soil nutrition concept practical ඉගෙනගන්න අවස්ථාව

Old Clothes Reuse Project

 

මෙම ව්‍යාපෘතියේ අරමුණ පැරණි ඇඳුම් නැවත භාවිතා කර නව සහ practical items නිර්මාණය කිරීමයි.

1️⃣ පැරණි ඇඳුම් එකතු කිරීම

·         පැරණි T-shirts, Jeans, Pants, Dresses එකතු කරන්න.

·         පිළිවෙලෙන් wash කර පිරිසිදු කරන්න.

2️⃣ Design Plan එක සකස් කිරීම

·         අලුත් item එක (bag, pillow cover, craft item) design sketch කරන්න.

·         අවශ්‍ය මාපි හා පියවර notes කරන්න.

3️⃣ Clothes කපා ගැනීම

·         T-shirt, jeans, pants කපා ඔබේ design එකට අනුව.

·         Old fabric pieces නිසා soft toys, cushions, or pillows සෑදිය හැක.

Paper Recycling Project

Paper recycling project එකක් පාසල් මට්ටමේ සිසුන්ට Circle Economy concept පුරුද්දක් කරන්න හොඳ ක්‍රමයකි. මෙහිදී පැරණි කඩදාසි නැවත භාවිතා කර අලුත් කඩදාසි / notebooks / craft paper නිර්මාණය කරයි.

1️⃣ අවශ්‍ය ද්‍රව්‍ය

·         පැරණි newspaper, magazines, old notebooks

·         බ්ලෙන්ඩර් / stick (paper pulp සකස් කිරීමට)

·         ලොකු basin හෝ බේසු (water සහ paper mix කිරීමට)

·         screen / mesh (paper sheet එක flatten කිරීමට)

·         sponge / cloth (excess water absorb කිරීමට)

·         rolling pin (paper flatten කිරීමට)

2️⃣ කඩදාසි කැබලිවලට කපා ගැනීම

·         Newspaper / magazine එක කුඩා pieces වලට කපාගන්න

·         මිනිත්තු 10–15 තුරු වියළුවේ යම් අවශ්‍යතාවක් නම්

3️⃣ Paper pulp සකස් කිරීම

·         කුඩා pieces water basin එකකට දමන්න

·         Blend / hand mash කර paper pulp එකක් සකස් කරන්න

·         Paste වගේ consistency එකක් ලබා ගැනීමේදී water add කරන්න

4️⃣ New sheet නිර්මාණය

1.      Screen / mesh එක water basin එකේ දමන්න

2.      Pulp එක screen එකේ evenly දමන්න

3.      Sponge / cloth එකෙන් extra water squeeze කරන්න

4.      Rolling pin එකෙන් sheet flatten කරන්න

5️⃣ Paper sheet වියළීම

·         Flatten sheet එකේ sunlight හෝ fan යටතේ වියළන්න

·         Fully dry වූ පසු recycled paper ready වේ

6️⃣ අමතර ideas

Paper bag project එක plastic bags වෙනුවට පරිසර හිතකාමී bag භාවිතය ප්‍රවර්ධනය කරන Circular Economy ව්‍යාපෘතියක් වේ. මෙය පාසල් සිසුන්ට පහසුවෙන් කළ හැකි practical activity එකකි.

1️⃣ අවශ්‍ය ද්‍රව්‍ය

·         පැරණි newspapers / magazines / craft paper

·         ගම් (glue) හෝ paste

·         කතුර

·         scale

·         pencil

·         string / ribbon (bag handle සඳහා)

·         cardboard piece (bag bottom එක තද කිරීමට)

2️⃣ කඩදාසි සකස් කිරීම

·         newspaper sheet එක rectangular shape එකකට සකස් කරන්න

·         bag එකේ ප්‍රමාණයට අනුව paper size තීරණය කරන්න

3️⃣ Bag shape එක සකස් කිරීම

1.      paper sheet එක roll කර cylinder shape එකක් වගේ fold කරන්න

2.      overlap වන පැත්තට glue දමා අලවන්න

3.      මෙය bag එකේ side wall ලෙස සකස් වේ.

4️⃣ Bag bottom සකස් කිරීම

1.      bag එකේ පහළ කොටස 5–7 cm fold කරන්න

2.      එය box bottom shape එකක් ලෙස fold කරන්න

3.      cardboard piece එකක් දමා glue කර bottom තද කරන්න

5️⃣ Bag handle සකස් කිරීම

·         bag එකේ ඉහළ පැත්තේ holes 2ක් හෝ 4ක් කරන්න

·         string හෝ ribbon දමා handle එකක් සකස් කරන්න

 

6️⃣ Bag decoration

සිසුන්ට creative activity ලෙස:

·         🌸 drawings

·         🎨 colors

·         ♻️ circular economy messages

දමා decorate කරන්න පුළුවන්.
